COMMENTS FROM GRAA'S VICE PRESIDENT, BOB MORRISSEY: The June GRAA luncheon was highlighted by the presence of the talented NASA Academy students. They and we, were treated to an incisive talk by Dr. George Ludwig. George was gracious enough to share excerpts from a book he is in the process of authoring.. He gave us an insider's view of the space program as it developed from the 50's, international, technological and political aspects were woven into a compendium of the early 'space age.

On a very serious note: it must be reported that our very tall and distinguished president (.....the peerless Pieper) was doing grandfatherly things (attending Grandson's college graduation exercises). It has become a tradition to solicit cheers or expressions of dismay at the lack of his presence. Good news, George - this year a few more "awwww's" were heard among the ringing clamor. - Stay well - see you next month - don't miss any of Barney's fine culinary efforts.

MAIL STUFFERS FOR JUNE; Agnes R. Smith, Mary & Bob Wilson, Eloise Tarter, Elaine C. Montgomery, Frank Wrigley, George Abid, Bob Wigand, and Marty Eiband.

TREASURER'S REPORT: Donations were received from Paul Rall, James A. Livesay, Jr., and Paul G. Martin.

ROAD PICKUP: Eight bags of trash were collected from the road along GSFC's eastern boundary by Elaine Bobbitt, Bob Wigand and Elaine Montgomery - Just think what could have been collected with at least three more volunteers. We'll be doing this again soon - so sign up.
