COMMENTS
FROM DR. PIEPER, Hopefully, this issue of the GRAA Newsletter will
reach you prior to the GODDARD FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY WEEK. So, we look forward
to seeing you at many of the week's major events. They all will be great
events for all old Goddard hands. In any event, we'll be on hand for a
post mortem at our regular GRAA MONTHLY May 11th lunch.
We have told you before about DREAM, HOPES, REALITIES, the history of Goddard's
first forty years, which is being published in connection with the anniversary
week. We had hoped to have a coupon in this Newsletter that those at some
distance from the center could mail in to the GEWA store to order
a copy. The coupon is not in
this issue, because we still can't find out how much the book is going
to cost. At some point we'll know and then the coupon will appear.
Meanwhile the good news is that the book which was originally a special
printing job for Goddard at the government printing office, has
been selected by them, GPO, as one of its regular publications and so will
be widely available throughout the country.
At the March luncheon the newly elected GRAA board selected officers from
its own membership as follows: President, George Pieper; Vice President,
Bob Morrissey, Secretary, Danny Dalton; Treasurer, Bob Wigand. .... Following
up on Frank Carr's idea of having project mini-reunions at our monthly
lunches, Paul Marcotte agreed to contact Paul Butler, Frank McDonald and
others with the idea of having an HAP reunion sometime this summer.
