COMMENTS FROM GRAA'S PRESIDENT, DR. PIEPER: Twenty-six years ago, when I was still running code 600 at
GSFC, Barbara and I built our dream Deck House on two acres of waterfront on Beard's Creek in Edgewater. After eight
more years in the Aerospace Engineering Department of the Naval Academy, and l2 years of retirement, it's time to move
on. We will be downsizing to a duplex house in a retirement community called Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach, a section of the very large (in area) city of Jacksonville, Florida. It's a gated full-scale life care community with assisted living and nursing care if and when needed. Fleet Landing is within easy walking distance of the Atlantic Ocean, so we'll be able to walk, bicycle and surf fish on the beach. It is also close to the St. Johns River and Intracoastal Waterway so I will be keeping my boat in a nearby boatel and be able to fish all year around.

Best of all, we will be close to our daughter Pam and her husband, who live about twenty miles away on Black Hammock Island, also a part of the huge city of Jacksonville. Our other daughter and her husband live in North Acton, Massachusetts, and much as we love them, the choice between Florida and Massachusetts wasn't hard. Our two grandsons are currently in Bratislava, Slovakia, and Portland, Oregon, respectively, so we won't be much farther from them than we are now.
So, as of approximately February l, 2004, our new address will be 54l3 Capella Court, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233. We'll have a new phone number - to be determined, and expect that our e-mail addresses will remain as they are: GFPieper@comsat.net and BFPieper@comsat.net

I have very much enjoyed my role in the GRAA for the last several years. You are a great group to whom the US space program owes much. I especially want to thank Elaine Montgomery, Alberta Moran, Bob Wigand, Bob Wilson, Barney Hoyt, and all others who have kept things running smoothly. Ron Browning, who will be taking over as president, and board members Dick Baker, Charlie Boyle, Barbara Hamilton, Bob Morrissey and Bob Wigand will do a good job for you in the future. Best regards to all from (soon to be) sunny Florida where I will read the GRAA newsletter with great interest.
