COMMENTS FROM GRAA'S PRESIDENT, DR. PIEPER: Bill Braun, GSFC Security Office, attended the October Luncheon and asked the retirees whether they would like to be given new ESCORT picture badges that would entitle the holder to visit any part of the Center him/herself in return for acting as escort for holders of visitor badges. The Center's problem is providing escorts for visitors who want to go to various seminars, colloquia, MAD and GRAA events, etc. The deal is that an ESCORT badge holder would have to be available in answer to a request from a host group (e.g., MAD, colloquium committee, etc.) at least some of the time. Bill is supposed to put the scheme in writing and give it to us. His phone number is 30l-286-7233.

Ron Erwin of the Center's Education Office solicited GRAA members to help the Center in responding to Science Fair judging requests, Career Day requests. and a new Virtual Science, Engineering, Technology Investigation Competition. Literature is available via the internet and Ron can be reached at 30l-286-7504.

Oh yes, at February luncheon meeting, Charlie Boyle will tell us how he won gold medals race walking in the Senior Olympics
